Can I claim my losses for delayed flights?

I am traveling from Bhopal to Canada next month. I have booked tickets from Delhi to Canada via Air India and from Bhopal to Delhi via SpiceJet. So I have a query: if, in case I miss my Delhi to Canada flight due to being delayed in my first flight, will travel insurance help me recover the losses. ?

Your travel insurance may cover missed connections, depending on the specific terms of your policy. If your policy covers "missed departure" or "trip interruption" due to unexpected events, then only you can claim for insurance.
