    You’re totally right. The big problem is that "tap-to-pay" relies on Google's technology, which isn't available on GrapheneOS. You can still use PhonePe or BHIM for QR codes and UPI transfers, but NFC payments at stores probably won’t suffice. Many Indian banks haven’t rolled out their own NFC solutions yet. Some people manage to get UPI to work using sandboxed Play Services, but it’s quite hit or miss. If you’re looking for straightforward tap-to-pay, GrapheneOS could be a bit of a hassle.

    I was paying money to my cousin through Google Pay, but by mistake, I paid the money to the wrong number. The amount paid is 40k which is a big amount. Now, how can I get my money back?

    Thanks for your reply. I recently updated my phone number with the bank, something I hadn't done before. Now it's working fine, and I got the OTP successfully.

    This is a technology issue with Amazon and Gpay. As you said, you spoke with Amazon and Gpay, but their responses were unsatisfactory. File a complaint on the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) website ([email protected]) or call on their toll-free number 1800-11-4000 or 1915.

    Hi

    Contact your bank or visit the bank. Check the status of your account, like whether your contact number is updated or KYC is done. May be your account is frozen. And tell them to unfreeze the account. Just do some transactions (deposit some cash), and your account will be operational again. Then try to link your bank account to GPay.

    If the money was debited from your account, and the contact number on which you transferred the money, which is not linked to their bank account, that means money is send to the wrong account.

    Tell your sister to contact to Phonepe customer service term and share your issue. They can easily track the transaction. They can initiate the refund process. Also contact your bank and inform them about the refund and let them know it was an unauthorized action.
